Anna Peck: Holistic Clinical Psychologist

Where evidence-based therapy meets ancient wisdom.

Hi, I’m Dr Anna Peck, a holistic clinical psychologist supporting people, just like you, to uncover a deeper sense of self, realise your intrinsic gifts, and be the author of your unfolding story.

Psychology that uncovers your true self.

While clinical diagnosis has a place in modern psychology, an overemphasis on problems, symptoms and dysfunction can leave individuals feeling like they’re doing life wrong.

My approach to psychology looks beyond symptoms and labels to the deeper mystery – what makes you, you.

So often, we bury our true selves beneath societal expectations, cultural norms, and the pressure of others' opinions. It takes courage and safety to peel back those layers and get real with yourself.

So no matter what brings you here – stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem, loss – we’ll find you at the centre of it and empower you to take charge of your own story.

  • Self-knowledge is about getting in touch with your needs, values, dreams, gifts and sense of place in the wider world.

It means understanding, befriending, forgiving and accepting yourself – and practising self-compassion instead of self-criticism. It means having a comfortable, stable and harmonious environment on the inside, where you live.

And when you have this compassionate knowledge of who you are and what you need – it’ll positively impact every other aspect of your life. Because the relationship you have with yourself is the emotional environment you’re bringing to every other interaction in your world.

  • My psychology practice is grounded in Schema Therapy – an integration of several foundational psychology approaches – to create lasting change at the roots.

Schema therapy reveals how unconscious beliefs (schemas) and coping styles (modes) developed in childhood tend to perpetuate our problems.

When we learn how to stop merely coping, and instead fulfil our emotional needs, we can break the cycle, redefine our schemas, and create lasting change.

You might come to therapy already knowing the beliefs and patterns you want to change, or you might feel stuck, overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Either one is a great starting place.

Here are some of the transformations I see.

  • Burnt out by work, parenting, life or relationships

  • Unable to keep up with your own unrelenting standards

  • Never feeling good enough, despite constant (and exhausting) effort

  • Stretched thin to meet everyone else’s needs – and feeling guilty for having your own needs

  • Running a million miles from confrontation

  • Quietly resenting your people (spouse, family or friends) even if you’re not sure why

  • Feeling crushed by the grind of life and hustle culture

  • Unhappy in your work: Is this all there is? Where’s the joy?

  • Overwhelmed with imposter syndrome or an Inner Critic living rent-free in your head

  • Feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world

  • Using substances, TV, or computer games to approximate happiness

FROM THIS:

  • Able to relax and enjoy your life

  • Dancing to the beat of your own drum and leaning into your weird

  • Getting to know, like, and befriend yourself

  • Uncovering your true passions, the things that make you tick—then clearing out whatever’s in the way

  • Healthy boundaries and communicating them (with love)

  • Feeling the peace of being seen, heard and known

  • Learning the language of your own being – the feeling of YES and NO in your body

  • Taking courageous leaps into new chapters

  • Dethroning your Inner Critic and cultivating self-compassion

  • Feeling uncomfortable feelings, without the need to run or hide, avoid or numb

  • Filling your cup with fun, play and spontaneity

  • Worrying less about ‘what they think of me’ and tuning into what YOU think and feel

TO THIS:

Holistic psychology considers your true self within the bigger picture of meaning, connection, and purpose. A stronger relationship with yourself creates positive ripple effects across all areas of your life.

Hi, I’m Anna

Clinical Psychologist and Former Yoga Teacher.

Real. Creative. Open-minded.

My goal is simple: to help you align your story with your joy and your gifts, so you can create a life that feels true to you. Because your story is fluid—you’re the author, and you get to revise it as you grow and change.

In our sessions, expect collaboration, enthusiasm, and real talk. I’m not your stereotypical therapist who stays opaque and neutral—together we’ll laugh, unpack, and occasionally swear for good measure, to uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface.

It’s easy for me to see the bright, dynamic, and compelling parts of you – and I’ll make sure you see these parts, too.
